FAMILY HISTORY PROJECT
-by Reimi Patterson-Davidson

Hi Family! As most of you know by now, Aunt Penny and myself are working on a family history anthology of the Carter Family.

If you are interested in participating, here are the first set of initial questions I have for you. There is no sense of urgency on your part. Take as much time as you want or need! You can send your replies to carterfamilyhistoryproject@gmail.com. I will likely correspond with you with some follow up questions. Thank you for your interest and participation! Love, Reimi (daughter of Frank L. Patterson Jr., also known as Skippy).

1. Who were your parents? How did they meet? Where did they come from before settling in Aurora (or the town you grew up in Illinois?)

2. Who were your grandparents (on both sides)? Where did they come from?

3. If you have brothers and sisters, who are they?

4. Did you know/meet your grandparents? If yes, what do you remember most about them? Did your grandparents ever talk about their lives growing up and/or did they ever share stories with you about their lives as children and/or young adults? If you did not know or ever get to meet your grandparents, what stories about them do you remember hearing from your parents, aunts, and uncles?

5. What were some words of wisdom that your grandparents shared with you? How about your parents? What words of wisdom did they share with you?

6. What kinds of meals did your parents cook when you were growing up? Was there a particular dish you considered your favorite (you can obviously list more than one, haha!)?

7. Can you share some of your fondest memories growing up? Who did you 'hang out' with the most as a kid, in terms of siblings and cousins?
